Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Awareness in Rural Communities
Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for many regions in India, but it also carries significant risks. Farmers frequently experience injuries from sharp tools, machinery accidents, snakebites, and heatstroke. 1 A preliminary survey conducted in December 2025 among farmers in Velangi revealed that many current first-aid practices lack scientific backing and can exacerbate existing problems.
Farmers should undergo comprehensive first-aid training and education, empowering them to respond effectively during emergencies. This could empower rural communities, especially in areas with limited access to immediate medical care.
